Privacy Policy

    Executive Summary

    We will never sell, rent or share your personal information with a 3rd party, especially your email addresses and phone numbers, without your express permission, unless required by law. Never ever! Your privacy is very important to us and it is crucial that we keep your trust. We don't provide your private information to people who may sell it afterwards.

    SAAS providers

    FanFootage uses a number of third parties to help provide a quality service to you:

    • SendGrid hosts our outgoing email, and so has a list of our customers' email addresses. Note that it does not store test logs; see Sendgrid's privacy policy for more details.

    • Google Apps is our incoming mail host. Any information you send us by email is therefore accessible to Google. See Google's privacy policy for a detailed discussion of how they may access this.

    • Intercom provides our CRM, and we provide them with your email address and some custom data to help communicate better with you. Intercom uses this information in order to provide their service, but does not share it otherwise. See Intercom's privacy policy for more detail.

    • Google Analytics provides us with information about how people use our site. This means we use the Google Analytics tracking cookie throughout our site. This same Google privacy policy applies across all its services so it remains the same as Google Apps privacy policy.

    • LogEntries keeps a short term copy of our production logs. Only the founders or sysadmins will have access to these logs, in order to diagnose issues with the FanFootage service. The ip address a user used, may be recorded in the logs and shared with logentries. This information is not utilised in any other way, and is deleted generally within 7 days automatically. Their privacy policy is available here.

    • Delighted allows us to understand what our users think of the service.

    • AirBrake.io is used to keep track of any errors with our code, which does happen. If an error occurs while using FanFootage.com, an error log is send to Airbrake, to be processed by our dev team asap. This may include your ip address. This information is deleted generally within 7 days automatically and is not utilised for any other means. Only founders and sysadmins will have access to this data.     • NewRelic.com is used to monitor the performance of our servers. Only the founders or sysadmins will have access to these logs. The ip address a user used, may be recorded in the logs and shared with newrelic. This information is not utilised in any other way, and is deleted generally within 30 days automatically.     Safeguarding your data

    If we lose/leak anyone's data, nobody will want to use our services. Hence the security of your data is essential to FanFootage remaining in operation.

    We never read/look up what you have read online. FanFootage does parse your data to remove sensitive data, such as passwords in input boxes, email addresses, etc. At no time, is a human involved in this process.

    If you provide us with a support ticket, with your explicit permission, we may need to access your data to solve the issue. Only the founders of the company will be able to do this. Into the future, suitably vetted senior employees will be able to do so into the future, all information looked at will be recorded and available to the user as needed. Again, this will only happen with your permission, and the date range looked it will be only what is needed to solve the situation. Our preferred option, is to understand your problem, recreate it on our personal accounts, and then write code to solve it for everyone automatically.

    Cancelling your account

    Once you instruct us to delete your account, FanFootage will promptly remove your Data, unless retention of your Data is necessary for FanFootage to comply with legal obligations and/or resolve disputes. If FanFootage needs to retain Your Data in one of these exceptional circumstances, we will notify you using the email address associated with your user account.

    We take security incredibly seriously. If you have any suggestions for how we could improve our security, or improve this policy, please contact us at [email protected]. We will act immediately to deal with the issue. If you have found a security issue with the site, we believe in responsible disclosure and [email protected] is the correct channel for such information.

    Cookies

    A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a web site’s computers and stored on your computer’s hard drive.

    Cookies are required to use the FanFootage service. We use cookies to record current session information, but do not use permanent cookies. You are required to re-login to your FanFootage account after a certain period of time has elapsed to protect you against others accidentally accessing your account contents.
